uhlmann.fencing From 3 to 14 August, we will be taking our annual summer holiday ☀️ Usually, we use this time to recharge our batteries and return full of energy for the new #fencing season. This year, however, everything feels different.💔 We need these days to process the sad news, gather strength and prepare ourselves for the final months ahead. After our return, we will do everything we can to complete all remaining work carefully and responsibly and to continue providing our loyal customers with the best fencing equipment until the very end. Dear Uhlmann community, we hope we can count on your support during this final chapter. Please remember: we are still here and we are still producing. If you would like to order Uhlmann equipment or secure products for the future, please do not wait too long. uhlmann.fencing After more than nine decades, an important chapter in fencing history is coming to an end. We are deeply saddened to officially announce that Uhlmann Fencing will cease its business operations on 31 October 2026. Since 1933, Uhlmann has been far more than a manufacturer of fencing equipment. Together with athletes, clubs, federations, dealers and partners, we have supported, shaped and developed the sport of fencing across generations. Our equipment has accompanied young fencers during their first steps in the sport and has been present at national championships, World Championships and Olympic Games. What began in Laupheim in 1933 with epee fencer Joseph Uhlmann grew into a company whose name became closely connected with fencing around the world. Behind every product were craftsmanship, technical expertise, dedication and a shared passion for this beautiful sport. In recent years, however, Uhlmann has faced major economic challenges. The effects of the pandemic, rising production costs, growing regulatory, administrative requirements and the loss of important markets have placed a heavy burden on our business. At the same time, operating costs in Germany continued to rise significantly. Despite great personal commitment and intensive efforts to secure the future of Uhlmann, no sustainable solution could be found. The shareholders have therefore made the extremely difficult decision to close the company in an orderly manner. Production will continue until the end of September 2026 and the remaining stock will be available for sale until the end of October 2026. This decision is deeply painful for all of us. Our thoughts are especially with our approximately 40 employees, many of whom have dedicated a large part of their professional lives to Uhlmann. We would like to thank all athletes, customers, clubs, federations, dealers, suppliers and partners who have placed their trust in us and accompanied us throughout this extraordinary journey. You have all been part of the Uhlmann story. Thank you for more than 93 years of trust, loyalty and shared passion for fencing. #uhlmannfencing
