The foam fencing sword is intended exclusively for recreational or training-related use in fencing. It is not suitable for official competitions or combat with real protective and scoring equipment.
This product is designed for low-contact fencing instruction, particularly for children and beginners. Despite the soft material, injuries may occur if used improperly, especially in the face or eye area.
The sword should only be used under the supervision of qualified personnel or coaches.
The foam sword is not considered a toy in the general sense. Uncontrolled or improper use (e.g. striking hard surfaces, objects or people) may lead to property damage or personal injury.
The weapon must not be modified or combined with other materials (e.g. metal parts, tape, etc.), as this can compromise safety.
Before each use, the sword should be checked for damage, cracks or loose parts. If any visible defects are present, the product must not be used.
Eye and face protection is recommended, even when using training weapons, to prevent unintended hits to sensitive head areas.
This product is not suitable for children under 3 years of age - choking hazard due to small parts.
The sword should not be used or stored near open flames or heat sources, as the foam may be flammable.
The foam may break, tear or deform under strong mechanical stress. In such cases, continued use is no longer safe.
Caring and storing instructions
The foam sword should be regularly inspected for dirt, damage or material fatigue.
For cleaning, a soft, damp cloth is sufficient. If necessary, mild soapy water may be used.
Aggressive cleaners, solvents or alcohol-based substances must not be used, as they may damage the material.
Avoid immersing the sword in water or rinsing it under running water, as this may weaken adhesives or affect stability.
After cleaning, allow the sword to air dry completely before use or storage.
Store the sword in a dry, clean and frost-free environment.
Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures (e.g. on radiators or in a car), as these can deform or make the foam brittle.
Whenever possible, store the sword lying flat or hanging to avoid pressure marks or permanent bending.
Keep it away from sharp or pointed objects to prevent damage.
For extended storage, it is recommended to place the sword in a closed bag or box to protect it from dust and external influences.
The foam fencing sword is made entirely of non-conductive, non-recyclable foam material.
The product must not be burned and must not be disposed of in organic waste or paper recycling.
In gernal, disposal should be done via household residual waste, unless local regulations specify otherwise for foam materials.
Please follow local waste disposal regulations. Some municipalities offer collection points or special waste containers for foam materials.
If the sword is being discarded in large quantities (e.g. in club operations), it is advisable to contact a municipal recycling center or certified waste disposal company.
Packaging materials such as cardboard or protective films should be sorted and disposed of properly through the appropriate recycling streams (paper, plastic).
