- This garment is designed for use in the sport of fencing according to the rules of the international fencing federation (F.I.E.)
- The electric jacket is not considered protective equipment but is used solely to indicate the valid target area. Electric jackets may only be used with complete protective equipment (according to DIN/EN 13567 in the latest version) to minimize the risk of injury. Selecting the correct level of performance for protective equipment for fencers should be in accordance with the regulations of the relevant national fencing federation. We strongly recommend, in all cases, using only fencing protective gear of the highest level of performance (EN 13567: 2002 + A1: 2007 Level 2).
- To find out the correct size of your electric jacket please refer to the table on our website. Protective clothing for fencing should be chosen big enough to ensure room to move. However it should be tight enough to avoid that the fabric falls in folds which might catch the opponent’s blade.
- When fastening your electric jacket, make sure, that all fastening devices (straps, hook and loop fasteners, zippers, buttons etc.) are closed completely and firmly. The garment may not be used any longer, if any of the fastening devices doesn’t work properly.
- This garment may only be used for the practice of fencing according to the rules of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) or the respective national fencing federation.
- Before using the electric jacket, all fasteners (zippers, Velcro straps, buckles, etc.) must be fully closed.

- Broken blades pose a particular threat. The circumstances of a blade breakage may result in high tip velocities and consequent high energy impacts by the broken blade. It is known that broken blades can penetrate protective clothing with potentially fatal consequences. The electric jacket explicitly does not provide protection against this hazard.
- Fencing clothing is designed to only be used by either left handers or right handers (see marking on the label). Fencing clothing for right handers must not be used by left handers and vice versa. Always pay close attention to the corresponding information on the label.
- Sensitive individuals may experience allergic skin irritations due to contact with metal or polyester.
- The electric jacket should be regularly inspected for mechanical damage (abrasions, tears, holes, open seams). In such cases, the electric jacket must not be used further.
- Despite being made of stainless steel (Inox), improper care (e.g., prolonged exposure to moisture) can affect its corrosion resistance.
- The outer surface of the electric jacket must not come into contact with bare skin during use to avoid potential minor electric shocks. The electric jackets must not be used if the insulating inner lining is damaged, to avoid potential minor electric shocks.
Be sure to follow the cleaning and care instructions on the label.
The product is suitable for hand washing. Don’t spin-dry or tumble this garment, as the mechanical impacts might reduce its performance. All closures have to be closed during washing
