re-fitting by sewing of conductive bib (made by Uhlmann)

Retrofitting a foil mask into an épée mask by sewing on a conductive bib may only be carried out by us. 

The customer must not perform this modification themselves, as improper work can significantly impair the protective function of the mask. 

For the retrofit, the existing mask must be sent to us. 

Independent modifications or repairs to the mask can lead to safety-relevant damage and jeopardize its approval for competition use. 

We accept no liability for damage or injuries resulting from retrofits that are not professionally executed or from unauthorised modifications.

The conductive bib must not be cleaned in the washing machine or with aggressive cleaning agents, as this can damage the conductive coating. 

For cleaning, a damp cloth with mild soapy water is sufficient. Then wipe the bib with a dry cloth and allow it to air-dry completely. 

Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach or solvents, so as not to destroy the structure of the bib. 

Regularly check the bib for tears, wear or damaged seams. 

Do not apply heat (e.g. ironing, hot-air blower), as this can damage the conductivity and the fabric. 

In the event of severe wear of the bib or damage, the mask should be sent in for professional inspection and if necessary, renewal. 

Always store the mask in a dry and well-ventilated place to prevent mould formation. 

Avoid direct sunlight or high temperatures, as these can weaken the bib and the fabric. 

Do not store the mask in closed, damp sports bags - use a breathable mask bag instead. 

A damaged mask or a worn bib must not be reused, as they no longer provide adequate protection. 

Disposal should be via residual waste, as the product consists of composite materials.
