Warnings
Ensure that the underfloor cable reel housing is fully and correctly installed into the foor and that the enclosure is securely closed before use. The housing may only be opened or services by qualified personnel.
Before operation, check that the enclosure is undamaged and free from foreign objects.
Lay the cable without tension and in such a way that tripping hazard or crushing of the cable are avoided.
The use of the cable housing is permitted only in dry environments, moisture may lead to electrical hazards.
During fencing events, access to the housing area must be secured against unauthorized opening.
The cover of the cable reel housing must always be firmly closed and flush with the floor surface to prevent tripping and injury hazards.
Only use the cables that comply with current safety regulations and are approved for use in fencing sports.
Ensure adequate strain relief and kink protection when routing the cable.
If the housing, cover or cables are damaged, the housing must not be used. Report any defects immediately to the responsible authority.
Operation with electrical current may only take place when all components are properly installed and inspected.
Children and unauthorized persons must not be present near the open housing or the cable reel system.
Caring and storing instructions
Clean the cable reel housing and the enclosure regularly to remove dust, dirt and any metal shaving to prevent malfunctions.
Use only a dry or slightly damp cloth for cleaning, do not use high-pressure cleaners or aggressive cleaning agents.
Avoid any moisture entering the interior of the housing, especially the cable reel area and electrical connections.
As part of maintenance, regularly check the condition of the cover, seals and cables for cracks, corrosion or mechanical damage.
After each use, the cable reel should be fully rewound, stored without tension, and free from kinks.
Store the entire system in a dry, well-ventilated area at room temperature, protected from direct sunlight and frost.
If the system is not used for an extended period, we recommend a visual inspection and functional test before teh next use.
All moving parts, such as hinges or locking mechanisms, may be lubricated with suitable technical lubricant if necessary, but not near electrical components.
Avoid stacking heavy objects on the housing cover to prevent deformation or damage.
If professional cleaning is not possible (e.g. due to heavy soiling or water damage), contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer.
