Warnings
Ensure that the cable reel housing is fully and correctly embedded in the sports hall floor and that the enclosure is securely closed before use.
Installation, maintenance and commissioning may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Before each use, inspect the housing for damage, contamination and foreign objects.
Cables must be laid without voltage and without mechanical strain in order to avoid tripping hazards and crushing.
The use of the cable housing is permitted only in dry indoor environments with suitable area-elastic sports flooring. Moisture can lead to electrical hazards.
During operation, it must be ensured that the housing area is not left open or unattended.
The cover must always be flush with the floor and securely locked to prevent injuries and accidents.
Only cables and components that comply with current safety standards and are approved for fencing use may be used.
When using the cable reel, ensure adequate kink protection ans strain relief.
Switching between training mode (wall-mounted signal lights) and competition mode (indicator at the center of the piste) may only be done when the system is not powered and must be properly documented.
The functionality of the switching system must be checked regularly. Faulty switching can impair operation and lead to incorrect signals.
If the housing, cables, or indicators are damaged, the system must not be used. Any defects must be reported immediately to the responsible technical supervisor.
Operation with electrical current is only permitted when all system components are correctly installed, locked and inspected.
Children and unauthorized persons must not be present near the open housing or the cable reel unit.
Caring and storing instructions
Clean the cable reel housing and enclosure regularly to remove dust, dirt and any metal particles to prevent malfunctions. Use only a dry or slightly damp, lint-free cloth for cleaning. Do not use high-pressure cleaners or aggressive cleanin agents.
Ensure that not moisture enters the housing, especially the cable outlet or electrical connections.
Regularly check the condition of the cover, seals, fasteners and cables for cracks, corrision or mechanical damage.
After each use, the cable reel should be fully rewound, stored free of tension and without kinks.
Ensure that the switching system (training/ competition mode) remains clean, dry and moves freely. Dirt or moisture may impair its function.
Store the system in a dry, clean and well-ventilated room at room temperature, protected from direct sunlight, humidity and frost.
Avoid placing heavy objects on the housing cover to prevent deformation or damage.
If the system is not used for an extended period, perform a visual inspection and function test before the next use.
Moveable parts such as hinges, locks and flaps may be maintained with a suitable technical lubricant if necessary, but not near electrical components.
If professional cleaning is not possible (e.g. in the case of heavy contamination, water ingress or corrosion damage), contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer.
