Range of application
This chest protector is designed for use by females to lessen injury from contact to the chest and breasts in fencing. To choose the correct levels of performance for protective equipment im martial arts please refer to the rules of your national federation. We strickly recommend to only use martial arts protective equipment of the highest level of performance. This chest protector meets EN 13277-6: 2003.
To find the correct size: First, measure chest size under the bust, then measure chest size around bust and select correct protector and cover size referring to the size table. Breasts should fill the chest protector cups. If cup size of the chest protector is too large, go down one size and if too small, go up one size. The chest protector should be a snug, yet comfortable on the body and be tight fit with the appropriately sized chest protector cover (bra top).

Wearing your chest protector: To correctly wear your chest protector, place the cover (bra top) on the body first, then insert the chest guard into the specially formed pocket at the opening at the buttom of the cover between the two layers of textile. The ends of the guard must fit firmly into the pockets at each side of the cover. Remove the guard from the cover as soon as possible after activity to further assist body cooling.
Warnings
Fencing by virtue of being a combat sport in which body contact by the weapon occurs, is by its nature dangerous. Protective clothing and equipment for fencers is intended as far as possible to prevent injuries or in the worst cases to reduce the severity of injuries, particularly by the point of the weapon.
Broken blades pose a particular threat. The circumstances of the breakage of blades may result in high tip velocities and consequent high energy impacts by the broken blade. Broken blades have been known to penetrate protective equipment with fatal consequences. No protective equipment can offer full protection against injury.
Protective equipment must not be changed or manipulated. In particular stitching must not be opened or further parts be added or taken away.
Caring instructions must be respected. Non-respect of these instructions can reduce the level of protection of this garment.
Carefully inspect protective equipment for fencing at regular intervals to make sure, that no mechanical defects (like abrasion, holes, broken stitching, cracks) have occurred. If this has happened, the product may no longer be used.
Inspection of the cover should be made regularly for cuts, torn threads or excessive stretch and the cover replaced if in doubt.
The chest protector relies on the tight fit of the cover to hold the guard securely in place over the breasts.
Caring and storing instructions
Cover can be washed by hand at 30°C in a mild detergent.
Dry naturally.
To be stored in a cool and dry place without direct light exposure.
This product contains no substances which are known or are suspected of causing any adverse health effect.
